Details of the altercation between Fox News host Jesse Watters and Huffington Post Washington bureau chief Ryan Grim’s are coming to light after the Huffington Post published video of the events leading up to the scuffle.

Watters, who seems to be in a playful mood early in the video, is enjoying a cigarette when Grim approaches him with his cell phone camera, filming. He attempts to “introduce” Watters to Amanda Terkel, who penned a column ripping Watters back in 2009.

Watters says, “she loves me,” but Terkel refuses to confront him. Grim tries to persuade her, eventually asking Watters to apologize. He obliges, but says Terkel has to come to him – she won’t.

Grim seems to get aggressive when Watters responds by saying, “I love Amanda Terkel, she’s a good girl. I’m not going to apologize, but she’s a good girl.”

That’s when MSNBC’s White House Correspondent’s Dinner after-party got crazy. Terkel is now a HuffPost colleague of Grim’s, who tried to come to her rescue seven years later.

“She said some nasty shit, though. I had to call her out,” Watters said.

Grim pressed Watters, who acknowledged the camera was turned on and eventually grabs the phone and tosses it. Grim retrieves the phone, approaches Watters again, and Watters grabs the phone and pockets it. You can hear the audio for the next few minutes before it eventually shuts off.

Watters is heard taunting Grim to “take it back” and tells him to “back off” while Grim is heard complaining, “this guys has my phone.” The fight reportedly breaks out at that moment.

Watters will address the issue Monday on “The O’Reilly Factor.”
