‘The View’ Alum Elisabeth Hasselbeck Accuses Former Co-Hosts of ‘Faux Feminism’

Fox News host rips Michelle Collins and Joy Behar for making fun of Carly Fiorina’s appearance

Elisabeth Hasselbeck clashed often with the other co-hosts of ABC’s daytime talk show “The View” when she was on the panel, and it appears she still doesn’t see eye to eye with the current hosts.

The “Fox & Friends” host took issue Friday with Michelle Collins and Joy Behar, who mocked Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina’s appearance during the GOP debate Wednesday.

“She looks demented,” Collins remarked on “The View” after Fiorina was seen forcing a smile. “Her mouth did not downturn one time.”

“It looked like a Halloween mask, I loved that,” Behar chimed in.

“This is a prime example of faux feminism right there,” Hasselbeck said on “Fox & Friends.” “Meaning, we support all women, only if they agree exactly with what we say, only if their politics align with mine, only if they support every single thing I’ve laid out. The only woman they support is someone who thinks exactly like they do, it’s a lack of openness and compassion.”

Hasselbeck’s co-host Steve Doocey chimed in, asking audiences to imagine “The View” saying that Hillary Clinton looked demented or like a Halloween mask and prompting Hasselbeck to reply, “No, never. It would never happen.”

“I would challenge Michelle Collins to have Mrs. Fiorina on the program and either say that to her face, or apologize, one of the two,” Hasselbeck concluded.
