Vin Diesel Auditions for ‘Carpool Karaoke’ With a Cockney Accent (Video)

“Can I do it in New York City in my hometown?” action star asks James Corden on “Late Late Show”

Hollywood celebs want to carpool with James Corden so badly, they’re now auditioning for a spot in his car. Next to turn in his application: Vin Diesel.

The action star showed up on “The Late Late Show” with Deepika Padukone, his co-star in the upcoming action film “xXx: The Return of Xander Cage.” During their chat, Diesel suddenly broke out into a silly Cockney accent, which made Corden wonder if he was “auditioning for Oliver Twist.”

This led to Diesel mentioning one time when he had to use that accent in a movie where he enters a coffee shop singing “Consider Yourself At Home” from the musical “Oliver!” Being an avid theater lover, Corden immediately knew the words to the song, which led Diesel to ask a question from the audience.

“How many of you wish you could do ‘Carpool Karaoke’? Am I entitled? Can I get a shot here? Can I do ‘Carpool Karaoke’? Can I do it in New York City in my hometown?”

Corden agreed, and the two gave the crowd a little preview by singing “Consider Yourself At Home,” Cockney accents included. Get ready, “Carpool Karaoke” fans. A Vin Diesel episode may be on the way soon.

In the meantime, you can get more of Vin Diesel in “xXx: The Return of Xander Cage,” which arrives in theaters tomorrow. Watch Diesel and Corden’s performance in the clip above.
