‘The Voice’: Michael Lee Makes Jennifer Hudson Throw a Shoe He’s So Damn Good (Video)

This is one Blind Audition you’ve got to see

Blues artist Michael Lee must have some sadness within him to slay B.B. King’s “The Thrill Is Gone” like he did Tuesday on “The Voice,” but that makes coach Blake Shelton very happy.

The thrill was definitely there for Shelton, Adam Levine and Jennifer Hudson, who all turned their chairs around for Lee. Kelly Clarkson was sure kicking herself for abstaining once she learned that the singer and guitarist is from her hometown of Fort Worth, Texas.

J-Hud loved Lee so damn much she took off her boot and threw it towards the stage. We know, we know, who throws a shoe? Really?

The tactic didn’t work, as Lee picked country artist and all-time winningest “The Voice” coach Shelton to be his mentor.

Watch the video above. Let it serve as your latest NBC-delivered reminder to stop judging books by their covers — instead, judge them by their covers of iconic blues songs.
