Watch ABC News’ David Muir Make a Fan’s Day Before Heading to Cuba (Video)

The “World News Tonight” anchor hugs a fan when he thinks cameras are turned off

ABC’s “World News Tonight” anchor David Muir was finishing up his interview on “The View” last week when a woman in the audience called for him.

The segment ended and, instead of heading backstage, Muir approached his fan. Muir shared a moment with the woman, laughing and hugging while “The View” the cameras weren’t rolling.

Don’t worry, Muir fans, TheWrap acquired footage on Friday of the heartfelt exchange.

ABC sources tell TheWrap that the woman told Muir to keep up the good work.

Which he no doubt will when the “WNT” anchor meets with President Obama twice in Havana this weekend, conducting exclusive interviews with the president during his historic trip to Cuba.

The first conversation with Obama will air Monday on “Good Morning America” and across all of ABC News and platforms. The exclusive sit-down interview will air Monday on “WNT.”

Muir will anchor “World News Tonight” from Havana Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
