Watch Gal Gadot, Robin Wright Slay in New 'Wonder Woman' Trailer (Video)

Comic-Con 2016: Lasso of truth, warrior women and a Chris Pine romance light up latest look at Patty Jenkins movie

Warner Bros. released a new "Wonder Woman" trailer cut specifically for the Comic-Con 2016 audience, and Gal Gadot does not disappoint as the fierce female DC Comics hero.

The footage takes us to Gadot's home, Paradise Island, where the Amazons dwell, and offers first looks at Connie Nielsen and the ice-grilled Robin Wright riding into battle on horseback.

The trailer also teases one of Wonder Woman's coolest weapons, the golden lasso of truth, and hints at a romance with a U.S. military man who washes up on the island and played by Chris Pine.

Gadot made her first appearance as Wonder Woman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," which debuted to $166 million on March 25.

The standalone "Wonder Woman," from director Patty Jenkins, also stars Chris Pine, David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis and Danny Huston.

Up next for Warner Bros. and DC Comics is "Suicide Squad," due in theaters August 5, followed by "Wonder Woman" herself on June 2, 2017.

That fall, "Justice League Part One," which will see Ben Affleck's Batman and Henry Cavill's Superman at it again, hits theaters on November 17, 2017.
