Hillary Clinton’s Concession Speech: Watch Live Stream Here (Video)

She addresses failed bid to become first female president

Hillary Clinton will address the American people about her stunning loss in her attempt to become the first female president of the United States.

Clinton decided not to speak publicly on Election Night as it appeared GOP nominee Donald Trump was going to pull a historical upset, while her campaign wasn’t.

Her campaign manager, John Podesta, took the stage at what was supposed to be her victory party and sent everyone home, saying they would have more to say about it on Wednesday. Shortly after that announcement, Pennsylvania was called in the Republican’s favor and Clinton phoned Trump to concede and congratulate him on the victory.

The Republican outsider defeated the consummate Democratic insider by crossing the threshold of 270 electoral votes by winning major battleground states such as Florida, Ohio and Wisconsin.

Clinton skipped her victory party all together, not even entering the building. She is expected to be gracious in defeat when she gives her concession speech on Wednesday morning. When Trump took the stage to address supporters after his victory, he was complimentary of his opponent.

“Sorry to keep you waiting, complicated business,” Trump said. “I’ve just received a call from Secretary Clinton. She congratulated us — it’s about us — on our victory, and I congratulated her and her family on a very hard-fought campaign … We owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country.”
