Taylor Swift dropped the video for her new song on Monday morning and invited some of her famous friends to join her … including former foe Katy Perry.
“You Need Need to Calm Down,” the second single from her upcoming album “Lover,” highlights Swift’s support for the LGBTQ+ community in the most vibrant way possible.
The line-up of guest appearances includes Ryan Reynolds, Ellen DeGeneres, Laverne Cox, Ciara, Billy Porter, RuPaul and Adam Lambert, but it is Perry’s arrival that has sparked the most buzz.
The pair of pop stars have been bickering since 2012 in a high-profile feud that reportedly started over backup dancers.
In the latest video, which was directed by Swift and Drew Kirsch, the singer and her pals live in a colorful trailer park where they party around an above-ground swimming pool, serving up snow cones and dancing in the dirt street.
After DeGeneres gets a tattoo saying “Cruel Summer” etched onto her forearm, “You Need Need to Calm Down” closes with Swift dressed in an oversize French fry costume embracing hamburger Perry (a throw back to Perry’s Met Gala after-party costume).
