Fox Searchlight has set a release date and revealed the first poster for Wes Anderson’s second foray into stop-motion animation, “Isle of Dogs.” The comedy will open April 20, 2018. Anderson’s last animated film was 2009’s “Fantastic Mr. Fox.”

Like “Fox,” which featured the voices of George Clooney and Meryl Streep, Anderson has lined up a starry cast. Among the talent listed on the poster are Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Scarlett Johansson, Tilda Swinton, Harvey Keitel and Yoko Ono.

Anderson is coming off his most successful film to date, “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” which grossed $175 million worldwide, and garnered four Academy Awards, including wins for Best Achievement in Costume Design and Alexandre Desplat’s original score.

Set in Japan, “Isle of Dogs” follows a boy’s odyssey as he searches for his pet pooch.

The project, currently in production in London, marks Anderson’s fifth collaboration with Indian Paintbrush. The team behind “The Grand Budapest Hotel” — Anderson, Scott Rudin, Steven Rales and Jeremy Dawson — return as producers.
