The Season 18 premiere of “Grey’s Anatomy” brought back a hunky character that fans of the ABC medical drama met only once four seasons ago, but that left a very positive impression on those hoping for a new love for Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo). Well, on some of them, others don’t seem to be able to recall who this returned character, Nick Marsh (played by Scott Speedman), is at all.
Nick first appeared in Season 14 as a transplant surgeon from the Mayo Clinic who was the recipient of a liver transplant himself, and had a deep connection with Meredith in the brief time they knew each other. In his return, he ran into Meredith while she was out of town during Thursday’s “Grey’s” Season 18 premiere, “Here Comes the Sun.”

Another wrote: “Nick Marsh has he returned to win the heart of Meredith Grey? Oh my God.”
“Nick Marsh is back with his fine ass self! Sorry, McWidow, he’s here to stay for Meredith,” a third tweeted.
So there’s that side of the fandom, who is very happy to see Speedman’s Nick — who TheWrap has confirmed will be a series regular for Season 18 — is back, there’s also the portion who fully forgot who this man is.

“half of the people i follow don’t even remember nick marsh and then there’s me,” another wrote.
