WME partner Ken Slotnick will leave the agency to launch a new management and production company, the agency told TheWrap.
Billionaire Ron Burkle is backing the venture through his investment firm, The Yucaipa Companies.
Yucaipa has invested in several entertainment properties, including Relativity Media and 3 Lions Entertainment, a branded entertainment company that launched earlier this year.

Slotnick worked at William Morris before its merger with Endeavor, and then worked out of WME’s New York office. A partner since last year, he worked in the agency’s branded lifestlye group and represented clients like celebrity chef Eric Ripert and “The Talk” host Julie Chen.
Deadline first reported the news of Slotnick’s departure.
