Rila Fukushima will put the martial arts skills she honed on “The Wolverine” to good use.
The Japanese model and actress has joined the upcoming season of “Arrow” in a major recurring role, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

Yukushima will play the role of Tatsu Yamashiro, who will feature in the show’s many flashbacks as a mentor to Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell). Tatsu is a martial arts expert who wields a deadly blade called Katana, which also serves as her code name.
Devon Aoki previously had been cast in the role, but she pulled out due to a scheduling conflict.
Fukushima played the deadly assassin Yukio opposite Hugh Jackman in 2013’s “The Wolverine,” which was her acting debut. She is repped by ICM.
