Annabeth Gish is officially reprising her role as FBI Agent Monica Reyes in an upcoming episode of Fox’s “The X-Files” event series, the network announced Tuesday.

Gish first appeared on “The X-Files” beginning with the 2001 episode “This Is Not Happening,” in which Agent Reyes helps Agent Doggett (Robert Patrick) investigating the sudden reappearance of several UFO abductees. She stayed with the series until it concluded in 2002.

Gish co-starred on FX’s “The Bridge” opposite Diane Kruger and Demian Bichir in 2013 and recently shot the independent feature “Grass Stains” opposite Tye Sheridan and Kaitlyn Dever. Last year, she had a recurring role on the final season of “Sons of Anarchy.”

She is the most recent previous cast member to be brought back for the event series. Fan favorites The Lone Gunmen (Dean Haglund, Tom Braidwood and Bruce Harwood) were recently confirmed to be reprising their roles, along with Mitch Pileggi as FBI assistant director Walter Skinner.

Stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson return to their roles as FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully for the currently untitled “X-Files”event series, which is shooting in Vancouver. The event is helmed by creator and executive producer Chris Carter, and production began in summer 2015.

Gish is repped by Innovative Artists and Thruline.
