Yahoo named Jacqueline Reses, a human resources executive with experience at Goldman Sachs, Apax Partners and a real estate software startup, the head of people and development

Yahoo announced Wednesday that it tapped Jacqueline Reses, an investment firm manager, as executive vice president of people and development, overseeing human resources.

Reses will take her new position on Sept. 7.

"Jackie brings two decades of uniquely applicable operational experience around structuring organizations, programs and strategies to build world-class teams in media and technology," Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer said in a statement. "Her tremendous energy will serve our employees well, and we're looking forward to her fresh perspectives."

Before joining Yahoo, Reses led the U.S. media group at Apax Partners, a media and technology business investment firm, where she headed talent-recruiting efforts and training.

Reses also served as CEO of iBuilding Inc., a real estate software business. Before that, she spent seven years at Goldman Sachs.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Yahoo family,” Reses said in a statement. “As Yahoo looks to develop and define its future, hiring, managing and incentivizing talent will be of key importance.”
