You’ll Have to Wait Another Month to Find Out the Title of ‘AHS’ Season 8

But it’s for a good cause

American Horror Story AND Coven

“American Horror Story” fans who flocked to Twitter Sunday night hoping to get substantial details about the upcoming season 8 from Ryan Murphy will have to wait a little longer. But don’t grumble too much, because it’s for a good cause.

While live-tweeting the latest episode of his new FX show “Pose,” Murphy, with some help from Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Emma Roberts, announced a charity contest to benefit Children’s Hospital Los Angeles — and the winner will find out both the title and plot of “AHS” season 8 before everyone else does.

And better still, directly from Paulson and Peters in person.

To enter, fans can make a donation to the hospital on the contest’s Omaze page. When the contest ends, one donor and a friend will be flown out to L.A. to kick it with Paulson and Peters, read the upcoming season’s first three scripts (including the title and plot), and take home a signed copy of the script for season 7, episode 1.

The contest ends July 6. So thanks to the magic of math, you can deduce that the rest of us who won’t win can expect to wait quite a bit longer than that to find out the details for ourselves.

Our guess: They’ll announce wide at Comic-Con, like they did last year did for “American Horror Story: Cult.”

Meanwhile, we do know a couple of things about the next installment of “AHS,” the biggest being that it’s going to be a crossover between first season’s “Murder House” and the third season’s “Coven.”

And Emma Roberts is coming back as Madison (though no word on whether she’ll be still dead, or alive yet again). She’ll be joining franchise faves Paulson, Evan Peters and Kathy Bates, who are leading Season 8 along with Joan Collins, a newcomer to Murphyland.

Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Adina Porter and Leslie Grossman will also return.
