FX Re-Ups ‘Sons of Anarchy’ for Season 4

Top-rated original drama gets 13-episode order.

FX announced the season four renewal of its top-rated original series "Sons of Anarchy," giving creator/executive producer Kurt Sutter's drama about a Northern California motorcycle gang a 13-episode re-up.

The show, which currently delivers the biggest adults 18-49 audience on basic cable in its Tuesday 10 p.m. timeslot, is averaging 3.4 million viewers in that key demo and 4.9 total viewers.

With eight episodes left in season three, FX said the show is averaging 5.9 million 18-49 viewers across its encore runs.

"'Sons of Anarchy is the most popular show FX has ever had, and the No. 1 series in basic cable for our key demographic," said John Landgraf, president and GM of FX Networks.
