Jane Seymour Denies Knowing of Other Schwarzenegger Children

Exclusive: The actress tells TheWrap she was misquoted that she knew of other out-of-wedlock progeny

Actress Jane Seymour said Monday she was misquoted saying that she knew of two other out-of-wedlock children belonging to Arnold Schwarzenegger.

“I was highly and purposely misquoted by the press,” she told TheWrap on Monday. “It pains me enormously.”

Seymour was asked about the Schwarzenegger controversy on a press line for an upcoming movie called “Love, Wedding, Marriage.” In the film, a comedy, Seymour plays the wife of James Brolin who learns that her husband had an affair years ago and has son who is 25.

On the press line, Seymour was quoted by CNN saying: "I heard about two more [out of wedlock kids] somebody else knows about. I even met someone who knows him well." The interview was picked up by numerous other outlets around the world.

But the actress said that wasn’t the case at all, saying only that she had heard somewhere in the media that there might be two other children. She said she had no specific knowledge of her own.

Seymour did say that she was not surprised to learn of the separation, and regrets making the remark: “I obviously said the wrong thing – I don’t think anyone’s really surprised."

She added: “I feel terribly sorry for Maria and the kids. It must be incredibly hard, particularly for the children.

“In retrospect, going down that press line, I should have just shut my mouth and said nothing,” said Seymour.

But a biographer of Schwarzenegger told TheWrap that he had interviewed "more than 700" people close to the family and is certain that many were "acutely aware" of the actor's affairs.

Ian Halperin, author of "The Governator," also said he expected other women to emerge with claims of having children with Schwarzenegger.

"I know there will be a plethora of women coming out of the woodwork shortly to allege their affairs with Arnold and to allege that they had children with Arnold," he told TheWrap
