“That’s what you do with family,” says ABC daytime co-hosts

The truth came out on Friday morning’s “The View” when Whoopi Goldberg admitted that indeed she and her co-hosts have had their off-camera disagreements.

“This is a hard show to do and sometimes, all of us get a little stressed,” Goldberg said, though Nicolle Wallace pointed out that Goldberg kisses all of the co-hosts before they start each show.

Several media reports have come out since “The View” began their 18th season claiming that several of the women were involved in personal feuds with one another.

“We actually do like each other,” Goldberg said. “We are affectionate with each other. People don’t like to lighten up on us because for some reason they’ve decided that women having any kind of discussion that are maybe a little louder, maybe a little more intense, is not OK. But it is OK because it’s human behavior. So yeah, we’re affectionate. Sometimes we bite. That’s what you do with family.”

Rosie O’Donnell then playfully confessed to being reprimanded for her exchanges with co-hosts in the past.

“I want to admit, I’ve been in time out three times,” O’Donnell said.

The discussion of their own relationship was prompted during a “Hot Topics” segment about affection between family members. O’Donnell shared how her children react when she and her wife request privacy to be intimate.

“I have four teens and sometimes I’m like, you know, ‘Michelle and I are going upstairs to our room to watch a movie and I don’t want to be disturbed during the movie,’” O’Donnell said. “And then Chelsea goes, ‘They’re doin’ it.’”
