Adam Sandler Returns to Silly Song Roots on ‘Conan’ (Video)

Netflix star is really gonna miss that lounger

Adam Sandler can afford a new La-Z-Boy recliner, but that’s not the point.

The Netflix star returned to his silly song roots Thursday on “Conan,” when Sandler really lamented letting his old crappy chair go.

“My old chair/is like a big comfy friend/It’s soft and it’s fuzzy/with a brownish, orangey blend,” he began singing, with an acoustic guitar accompaniment. “But the padding is gone/and I’m sorry to say/I think it’s time for me to/throw my chair away.”

“My Old Chair” gets deeply emotional and personal from there — especially the chorus.

The refrain pretty much just repeats: “I’m wondering/who’s farting in your cushion tonight.”

There’s plenty more wind-breaking material where that line came from — and, yes, it culminates in a “shat my pants” joke. Watch the video above.
