NBCU Marketing Vet Adam Stotsky Named New General Manager of G4

NBCU vet returns to the fold after leaving in August

Adam Stotsky is returning to the NBCUniversal fold after a six-month absence, as the new general manager of NBCU's "geek culture" cable network G4.

Stotsky, who reports to Bonnie Hammer, chairman, NBCUniversal cable entertainment and cable studios, will be responsible for overseeing all of G4's operations, including programming, development, production, marketing and publicity.

Previously, Stotsky served as president of marketing for NBC Entertainment, a position he vacated in August. (He was replaced by Len Fogge, who came aboard from Showtime.) Prior to that, from 2001 to 2008, Stotsky held various marketing positions for NBCU's Syfy network, where he expanded Syfy's portfolio into video gaming, licensing and merchandising.

"Adam is one of the best brand strategists I've ever worked with," Hammer said of the hire. "I'm confident that he'll provide tremendous leadership and unlock G4's potential as a genuine force on the media landscape."

Stotsky is replacing outgoing G4 president Neal Tiles, who had been with the network since  2005.
