‘AHS: Hotel’ Gets Erotically Creepy Title Sequence for Lady Gaga’s TV Debut

Ten commandments play a large role in illustrating season 5 of FX anthology

If you’re not ready to check in to “American Horror Story: Hotel,” FX has released this year’s title sequences to lure those seeking big stars and bigger scares.

For its fifth season, Ryan Murphy and crew take us to the fictional Downtown L.A. Hotel Cortez. An opening sequence released Thursday touts an ensemble cast that includes the TV debut of Lady Gaga as well as series regulars Matt Bomer, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Wes Bentley, Chloe Sevigny, Evan Peters and more.

Each sequence over the past four years has been said to include heavy allusions to what transpires in the given season, and “Hotel” seems transfixed on the Ten Commandments.

Greatest hits from the Old Testament including ‘Thou shalt not kill” and “Thou shalt not commit adultery” appear spliced in between cast names, all spelled out in cutesy neon for what we assume is a shout-out to “Psycho’s” Bates Motel.

There are plenty of macabre images packed in as well, including the bodies of grown-ups and ghastly infants clawing their way out of faded mattresses, blood scrawled on the walls and the odd piece of luggage.

“American Horror Story: Hotel” premieres October 7 on FX.
