ABC easily tops total viewers thanks to the “Dancing With the Stars” premiere, though that net had a little help from NFL boost in Atlanta

Well, someone finally completed the “American Ninja Warrior” course, handing NBC a key 18-49 demo win on Monday night.

ABC took the evening in total viewers, thanks to the season premiere of “Dancing With the Stars” and an Atlanta NFL preemption for the Falcons “Monday Night Football” victory.

The CW suffered a pretty rough night from its originals, down by double digits across the board and finishing in a distant seventh place.

NBC was first in ratings with a 2.0 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and second in total viewers with an average of 6.1 million, according to preliminary numbers. “Ninja Warrior,” which crowned a champion in Isaac Caldiero (pictured above), was the only show on the schedule.

ABC was second in ratings with a 1.9/6 and first in viewers with 10.9 million. “Dancing With the Stars” debuted to a 2.3/7 and 13.6 million viewers at 8 p.m. ET. Special “Dance Battle America” at 10 received a 1.1/4 and 5.7 million viewers.

CBS was third in ratings with a 1.1/3 and in viewers with 5.5 million, airing just reruns.

Fox and Univision tied for fourth in ratings, both with a 0.8/3. Fox, with only “So You Think You Can Dance” on its schedule, was also fourth in total viewers with 2.4 million; Univision was fifth with 2.2 million.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.7/2 and in viewers with 1.8 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.4/1 and in viewers with 1.1 million. “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” at 8 p.m. had a 0.5/2 and 1.5 million viewers. At 9, “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” fell to a 0.3/1 and 1.1 million viewers. “Significant Mother” at 10 got a 0.2/0 and 530,000 viewers.
