‘America’s Got Talent’: Gospel Choir Earns Standing Ovation From Judges (Exclusive Video)

Greater Works performs “This Little Light of Mine” on Tuesday’s episode

A vocal group blows away the judges during Tuesday’s episode of “America’s Got Talent,” as seen in an exclusive sneak peek.

The footage from the NBC variety series introduces Danell Daymon & Greater Works, a contemporary gospel choir that puts on elaborate performances, complete with plenty of clapping and tambourines.

When Simon Cowell asks where they hail from, one member replies, “From various parts of the country — Seattle, Washington; Washington, D.C.; New York City; Atlanta; Portland, Oregon — yes!”

Cowell wants to know if Daymon thinks that the group can win the million-dollar prize, and the choir leader responds, “I believe we will.”

The former “American Idol” personality says, “I love choirs, so I really hope you do well.”

As seen in the clip, judges Cowell, Howie Mandel, Mel B and Heidi Klum are definitely impressed by the performance of “This Little Light of Mine,” and the panel gives a standing ovation at the end of the tune.

Previous standouts thus far on Season 12 of “Talent” have included 12-year-old singing ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer, escape artist Demian Aditya, deaf singer Mandy Harvey and 16-year-old singer Christian Guardino.
