Anna Kendrick is currently in talks to star in “Nicole,” an upcoming Disney film about a female Santa Claus.

The project has Marc Lawrence (“Miss Congeniality”) attached as director and screenwriter. It will be produced by Suzanne Todd, whose past films with Disney include Tim Burton’s “Alice In Wonderland” and its sequel, “Alice Through The Looking Glass.”

Other past works by Lawrence include the romantic comedies “Music and Lyrics” and “The Rewrite,” both of which star Hugh Grant.

Kendrick was last seen in a Disney film in 2014, when she played Cinderella in the dark fairy tale “Into The Woods.” She most recently starred in the DreamWorks animated film “Trolls” and will reprise her role as Beca in “Pitch Perfect 3,” coming Dec. 22.

Kendrick is represented by CAA and Morris Yorn.
