Episode featuring “Kiss” singer jumps 50 percent in key demo
All Arsenio Hall wants is Prince's extra time… and maybe a ratings boost from the singer.
The “Kiss” singer's appearance on Hall's late night show Wednesday night provided a ratings bonanza for the syndicated offering, boosting the episode to a 1.4 rating/3 share in overnight ratings, a 56 percent jump over the show's average for the February sweep.
In the 18-49 demographic most important to advertisers, the show climbed 50 percent to a 0.6/2, virtually tying “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and besting other late-night offerings such as “Conan,” “Craig Ferguson” “Chelsea Lately” and others.
During his appearance on “The Arsenio Hall Show,” Prince performed the new song “Funknroll” and answered audience members’ questions.
