‘Baby Daddy’ Star Tahj Mowry on Freeform Show Hitting 100 Episodes (Video)

“Luckily it’s not one of those shows where you could die, because that would suck,” actor tells TheWrap’s Stuart Brazell

Freeform’s “Baby Daddy” is about to hit its centennial.

In a new episode of StudioWrap, star Tahj Mowry discussed the upcoming 100th episode and Season 6 renewal, and whether he knows what to expect for his character.

“Luckily it’s not one of those shows where you could die, because that would suck,” the actor told TheWrap’s Stuart Brazell. “Show up to the table read and like, ‘It’s my last episode? Damn!’”

Mowry and the show are both up for Teen Choice Awards (airing this Sunday), and he hopes this is the year they stop being the Susan Lucci of the Nickelodeon set.

“Every time our fans are just so heartbroken and we’re like, next year, we promise!” he said. “I feel like this year could be the year. I would say keep voting, but you can’t, voting polls are closed. You could keep praying though!”

The actor also discussed how ABC Family rebranding as Freeform has allowed “Baby Daddy” to push its boundaries more.

“That’s always fun. Tucker can say even more outlandish and ridiculous things now,” he said.

“Baby Daddy” Season 5 concludes on Wednesday, Aug. 3, and it has already been renewed for Season 6.
