BBC Worldwide North America has promoted Nigel Gaines to Chief Financial Officer, the company announced Tuesday.
Previously Gaines, who has been with BBC Worldwide North America since 2007, had served as senior vice president, finance. He is now responsible for overseeing all financial operations.

Gaines, who reports to BBC Worldwide North Amierca president Herb Scannell, also manages the company’s financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax and risk management activities, and corporate financial strategy.

“Nigel has been a valued member of the team for several years,” Scannell said of the promotion. “His experience and success leading financial operations makes him the perfect choice to take on this important role in shaping the future of our company.”

Gaines, who came aboard the company as director, finance for channels, previously held positions at Citipost Corporation and Royal Mail International.
