‘Better Late Than Never’ With William Shatner, Henry Winkler Gets NBC Premiere Date (Video)

Network also announces premiere date for new season of “Running Wild With Bear Grylls”

“Better Late Than Never,” the comedy event series starring William Shatner and Henry Winkler, got an official premiere date at NBC on Wednesday.

The show, which will also star boxing legend George Foreman and football icon Terry Bradshaw, will feature the four men traveling across Asia on their own with no schedule and no itinerary. It will launch on Aug. 23 at 10/9c.

The only help will come from Jeff Dye, a young comedian with an agenda of his own who isn’t above leading the men off track. Each stop is packed with cultural experiences, spectacles and twists as the men take on this adventure.

Based on the Korean format, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, Henry Winkler, Jason Ehrlich, Stephanie Chambers, Alex Katz and Tim Crescenti executive produce the series. “Better Late Than Never” is produced by Universal Television in association with Storyline Entertainment, Small World IFT and CJ E&M. In addition, NBC announced that the new season of “Running Wild With Bear Grylls” will premiere on July 11 at 10/9c.

The upcoming season of features Courteney Cox, Julianne Hough, Vanessa Hudgens, Nick Jonas and Lindsey Vonn taking on the elements in the great outdoors. Cox will be traveling to Ireland, Hough will be in Africa, Hudgens and Jonas are going to the Sierra Nevada Mountains while Vonn heads to Corsica.
