Smile, Mayim Bialik; you're going to be on “Candid Camera.”
“Big Bang Theory” actress Bialik has come aboard as host of TV Land's upcoming reboot of the classic hidden-camera series “Candid Camera,” the network said Thursday.
Bialik chimed in on her upcoming duties via Twitter, writing, “I have a new side gig.”
As reported in April, Peter Funt, son of “Candid Camera” creator and original host Allen Funt, will co-host the series as well as serve as executive producer. Silverman's multimedia studio Electus and Funt's Candid Camera, Inc. are co-producing with Silverman also executive-producing.
“Candid Camera” began as a radio show as “Candid Microphone” in 1947, later moving to TV in various incarnations over the ensuing decades.
