Sunday marks one year since Bobbi Kristina Brown — the ill-fated daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown — was found face-down and unconscious in the bathtub of her Georgia home, setting off a chain of events that culminated in her death at age 22.

Six months after Brown’s death in July, a number of questions still hang over the tragic situation. Here are five of them.

Bobbi Kristina Brown’s cause of death. The Fulton County Medical Examiner knows what killed Brown. So do the Fulton County District Attorney and the Roswell Police Department. The public, however, is still waiting for answers. In September, the medical examiner’s office said that the cause and manner of Brown’s death had been placed under seal, under order of the Fulton County Superior Court.

The criminal investigation. In late June, a month before Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death, the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office told TheWrap that the Roswell Police Department had forwarded its investigative file to the DA.

“In view of the new circumstances regarding the health status of Bobbi Kristina Brown, we will be reviewing the case with greater interest,” the DA’s office said in a statement.

A spokeswoman for the Fulton County district attorney told TheWrap this week that the case remains under investigation.

The lawsuit against Nick Gordon. Bobbi Kristina Brown’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, was slapped with a multimillion-dollar lawsuit in June by Bedelia Hargrove, her court-appointed conservator. Hargrove alleges that Gordon gave Brown a “toxic cocktail” and nearly drowned her in the hours before she was found in the bathtub. Hargrove also claims that Gordon had been physically abusive to Brown and  transferred funds out of her bank account without her permission. Gordon denied the allegations in a subsequent court filing, but did say that he and Brown “had an argument” before Bobbi Kristina was found in the bathtub.

Bobbi Kristina’s shady “nurse.” Earlier this month, Taiwo Sobamowo, a woman who treated Bobbi Kristina during her stay at Peachtree Christian Hospice, was hit with multiple criminal charges, including nursing without a license and financial identity fraud, and tossed in jail in Gwinnett County, Georgia.

It’s a familiar situation for Sobamowo. She was arrested in November after the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for practicing as a registered professional nurse without a license, with additional warrants issued for felony financial identity fraud and felony forgery. And in December, she was targeted by the Roswell, Georgia, police department in an investigation of similar alleged crimes. She’s currently awaiting trial on the Forsyth County charges.

The battle of Bobbi Kristina’s aunts. Bobbi Kristina’s aunt, Leolah Brown, has waged a public war of words against Bobbi Kristina’s other aunt, Pat Houston, throughout the reality star’s struggle for life and beyond. As recently as Jan. 24, Leolah Brown took another shot at Pat Houston — or, as she calls her, Pat Garland — via Facebook. Claiming that Bobbi Kristina was “doing fine” prior to her death, Brown claimed that Pat Houston and others “did everything they could to literally see to it that Bobbi Kristina was completely gone!” She also claimed that Whitney Houston never hired Pat as her manager, adding that Whitney signed papers making Leolah Brown the sole guardian of Bobbi Kristina Brown.
