TVGN is further collecting benefits from its benefactors.

The cable network, which is now co-owned by CBS, will start its tenure as the sole cable home for the network daytime drama, “Bold and the Beautiful,” next month.

It will play encores of the weekday episodes the same evening at 6:30/5:30c starting Monday, Dec. 2. Then, TVGN will marathon the week’s five episodes on Sundays from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m./10-12:30c starting Sunday, Dec. 8.

“I am looking forward to a successful partnership with TVGN,” said the show’s executive producer and head writer Bradley Bell. “Our fans have asked us for an opportunity to watch a second run. I’m delighted that we will now be able to fulfill that desire with such an esteemed cable network.”

TVGN began airing “Young and the Restless” this past summer, inheriting the repeat airings from the dying SOAPnet. The addition of “Bold and Beautiful” further helps to give TVGN a higher profile in the cable-scape.

“‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ has been one of the most popular daytime dramas on television for more than two decades, and now, for the first time ever, the series will be making its cable TV debut, giving loyal viewers more opportunities to catch up on their favorite show,”  said TVGN Entertainment and Media president, Brad Schwartz.  “‘The Young and the Restless’ has made TVGN one of the top female networks in the country, weekdays at 7 p.m.. It only made sense to give ‘B&B’ fans what they’ve been demanding from us.”

In March, CBS purchased a 50 percent stake in TVGN, with Lionsgate owning the other half. About a month ago, TVGN laid off a handful of internal producers as part of a reorganization that will find them leaning more on outside production companies for content.
