Ratings: CBS Reruns Out-Muscle ‘Spartan,’ ‘Bones’ Finales

NBC again wins 10 p.m. RNC coverage

Reruns of CBS sitcoms were strong enough to beat out the season finales of both NBC’s “Spartan” and Fox’s “Bones.”

While the Les Moonves-led network topped primetime overall, NBC still claimed victory for the Republican National Convention’s 10 o’clock hour, when Donald Trump made his big speech.

NBC finished second outright on the evening. Final numbers for the GOP event’s night, which ran until 11:45 p.m. ET, will be available around 10:30 a.m. PT this morning.

CBS was first in ratings with a 1.2 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 4.9 million, according to preliminary numbers. Following reruns, “Big Brother” at 9 p.m. ET earned a 1.7/7 and 5.6 million viewers. The GOP convention at 10 had a 0.7/3 and 3.4 million viewers.

NBC was second in ratings with a 1.0/4 and in viewers with 3.5 million. At 8 p.m. ET, “Spartan” received a 0.9/4 and 3.3 million viewers. RNC coverage at 10 put up a 1.1/4 and 4 million viewers.

ABC was third in ratings with a 0.7/3 and in viewers with 3.1 million. “BattleBots” at 8 p.m. ET got a 0.7/3 and 3.1 million viewers. At 9, “Greatest Hits” received a 0.7/3 and 2.9 million viewers. RNC coverage at 10 landed a 0.7/3 and 3.2 million viewers.

Fox, Univision and Telemundo tied for fourth in ratings, each with a 0.6. Fox and Telemundo had a 3 share, Univision got a 2. Fox was fourth in total viewers with 2.7 million; Univision was fifth with 1.59 million; Telemundo was sixth with 1.56 million.

For Fox, “Bones” at 8 p.m. ET had a 0.8/4 and 3.8 million viewers. “Home Free” at 9 managed a 0.4/2 and 1.7 million viewers.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 761,000. Following a repeat, “Beauty & The Beast” at 9 p.m. ET received a 0.2/1 and 746,000 viewers.
