No, Bonner Bolton wasn’t trying to channel Donald Trump when his hand veered into his partner Sharna Burgess’ crotch area during Monday night’s “Dancing With the Stars.”

Bolton, whose wandering mitt led to a standout moment when it landed in Burgess’ nether regions during a post-dance interview on “DWTS,” broke his silence on the matter on Tuesday, telling ET Online, “There was some hand placement that went south, so to speak.”

The professional bull rider added that the hand placement was “totally unintentional.”

“I was just stargazed by Nick and Peta’s performance and I was looking at the TV screen,” Bolton noted, referring to fellow competitors Nick Viall and Peta Murgatroyd. “I felt her bump into me yet I wasn’t really looking at what was bumping into me.”

Video of the incident shows Burgess turning her back and leaning against a seated Bolton, who wraps his arm around Burgess’ waist and lets his hand fall into Burgess’ crotch area. Burgess then removes Bolton’s hand from the danger zone.

Early Tuesday, after the awkward moment caught the attention of “Dancing With the Stars” fans, Burgess came to her partner’s defense, calling pro bull rider Bolton “a true gentlemen” and his crotch-bound hand jive “an innocent accident.”

“Anyone who has the ridiculous idea that it was intentional…is straight up stupid. As in lacking the intelligence to realize it was innocent,” Burgess tweeted.
