Brad Schwartz Promoted to Pop President, David Wisnia to Exit

Former TVGN channel combines both programming and business operations

Programming head Brad Schwartz has been promoted to president of Pop, formerly known as TVGN. David Wisnia has resigned as the channel’s business operations president.

Formerly Pop’s entertainment and media president, Schwartz will assume oversight of a broad range of business, legal, advertising and affiliate sales functions while continuing to head the network’s programming and creative operations. He continues to report to Pop’s Board of Directors.

Before joining TVGN in April 2013, Schwartz served as senior vice president of programming and operations for Fuse. Schwartz has also previously served as the general manager at Bell Media’s CTV, where he oversaw eight cable networks, including MTV Canada and MuchMusic.

David Wisnia stepped down as Pop’s president of Business Operations to pursue new opportunities.

Before moving into the executive position in April 2014, Wisnia was a member of TVGN’s Board of Directors. He had also served as executive vice president of Business Development for CBS Corp.

A partnership between CBS and Lionsgate, TVGN was rebranded to Pop in January.
