The broadcaster never said that Allison was his daughter, and reported the casting like a regular news story, citing additional casting on the special, like Christopher Walken as Captain Hook, as well as Allison’s other professional credits, like her starring role on HBO’s “Girls.”

At the end, though, he threw up a picture of her as a toddler in a Peter Pan outfit, saying, “Family members confirm she’s been rehearsing for this role since the age of three, and they look forward to seeing her fly.”

In her own response to the casting announcement, Allison said, “I have wanted to play Peter Pan since I was about three years old, so this is a dream come true.” Her father’s nationally-televised picture of her in the iconic green costume proves it.

“Peter Pan Live!” is scheduled to air on December 4, 2014.
