CBS and AT&T Reach Deal, Continue Longterm Relationship

U-verse service keeps CBS, Showtime, Smithsonian and other channels

CBS and AT&T have struck a deal to continue their longterm relationship.

Under the terms, CBS, Showtime, CBS Sports Network and Smithsonian will remain on AT&T U-verse. Re-branded TV Guide Channel, Pop, will launch on the service next year. Financial details were not disclosed during the announcement on Wednesday.

“Ultimately, we both want to provide our customers with the shows they want, when and how they care to watch,” CBS said in a statement.

All AT&T told TheWrap was this: “AT&T and CBS have reached an agreement to continue our long-standing relationship.”

AT&T and CBS have reached an agreement to continue our long-standing relationship, which includes carrying the CBS Owned TV Stations, Showtime Channels, CBS Sports Network, Smithsonian, and Pop (launching in 2016) on AT&T U-verse.
