CBS Orders Therapy Comedy Pilot ‘Good Session’

Comedy from Matt Miller and John Hamburg revolves around a happy couple that decides to see a therapist

CBS has given a pilot order to the comedy “Good Session,” from Matt Miller and John Hamburg.

The single-camera comedy revolves around a happy couple that decides to see a therapist to help them decide if they should have a baby. However, they quickly discover that they ave more to discuss.

Hamburg (“Meet the Parents”) and Miller (“Chuck,” “666 Park Avenue”) are writing and executive producing the pilot, which comes from Warner Bros. Television, with Hamburg (pictured) directing.

Earlier Monday, the network ordered the drama “Madam Secretary,” from “Joan of Arcadia” creator Barbara Hall. That project, which counts Morgan Freeman among its executive producers, will chronicle the personal and professional life of a maverick female Secretary of State as she drives international diplomacy, wrangles office politics and balances a complex family life.
