CW Sets ‘Containment’ Premiere, ‘Reign,’ ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Returns

New drama from Julie Plec will follow “The Flash,” taking over “iZombie” timeslot following that show’s season finale

The CW has set a Tuesday, April 19 premiere date for new midseason drama “Containment.”

The network has also announced the fourth and final season of “Beauty and the Beast” will premiere on Thursday, June 2.

“Reign,” which returns for the final half of its third season on Monday, April 25.

“Containment,” from “Vampire Diaries” showrunner Julie Plec, will debut at 9 p.m. ET, behind “The Flash,” which airs at 8.

The drama is set in the aftermath of a mysterious and deadly epidemic breaks out in Atlanta, where a vast urban quarantine is quickly enforced, forcing those stuck on the inside to fight for their lives while local and federal officials desperately search for a cure.

The show will premiere one week after the Season 2 finale of “iZombie,” which has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 12 at 9 p.m.

“Beauty and the Beast’s” final season will consist of 13 episodes.
