Pump up the “Jock Jams”–the 10th anniversary season of “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team” will premiere Thursday, Aug. 6 at 11 p.m. on CMT.

Hundreds of hopefuls — including a former member of the U.S. gymnastics team, a biomedical engineer and a national dance champion — will compete for a chance to make the NFL’s most famous cheering squad over the course of an eight-episode season.

This time around, longtime director Kelli Finglass and choreographer Judy Trammell are tasked with replacing 13 veterans from the current team. Cowboy cheerleader veteran Melissa Rycroft will judge and mentor the new recruits talented enough to make training camp with hopes they make it to the opening game.

CMT’s longest running non-music series, “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team” reached nearly two million total viewers across all platforms weekly last season.

The series is produced by Triage Entertainment with executive producers Stu Schreiberg, Stephen Kroopnick, Eugene Pack, Peter Zasuly and Kelli McGonagill Finglass. Jayson Dinsmore and Matt Trierweiler executive produce for CMT.

CMT will air the entire ninth season as part of a “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team” marathon event on Sunday, August 2 from noon to 8 p.m.
