‘Dancing With the Stars’ Champ Alfonso Ribeiro Says Win Was ‘Kind of a Shock’ (Video)

“We were prepared to hear Mark [Ballas] and Sadie [Robertson],” the “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” actor tells TheWrap of Tuesday’s triumph on the ABC dance competition

After months of competition — some tough and some almost laughable — Season 19 of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” truly delivered on an intense and evenly balanced finale. It was truly anyone’s season to win going into the show’s special Tuesday night finale.

Janel Parrish settled for a third place finish, while Sadie Robertson — who at 17-years old really surprised and impressed a lot of people with her poise and grace — scored the runner-up position. Alfonso Ribeiro danced his way into America’s heart this season, and now he’s got the Mirrorball trophy to prove it.

Watch TheWrap’s post-show interview with Ribeiro and partner Witney Carson.

“Dancing With the Stars” will return to celebrate its 10th anniversary with its 20th season in 2015.
