Is Jeff Zucker already thinking about his post NBCU future?

For the second time in two weeks, Zucker is confirming to a media outlet that a political future could be ahead.

Last week Zucker said it in an interview on Joe Scarborough’s radio show.

Asked by Scarborough, “Would you ever do it?” Zucker replied “It’s something I certainly would look at.”

This time it was in an interview with the Washington Post’s Howard Kurtz.

Zucker told Kurtz he would run in New York if anywhere.

He said that while the possibility of his running is drawing new attention, he had mentioned the possibility previously. “It’s no different than what I’ve said all along."

"It's funny how much attention that's gotten,” he said of the Scarborough show comment.

He also told Kurtz that, if he were to take the plunge, "it's all about the timing."

While Zucker will continue to head NBCU after Comcast takes it over, there has been speculation about his future afterwards.

Then again, Zucker talking about running -- and not obfuscating -- may raise doubts about his future as a politician.
