How likely is President Obama to pardon Roman Polanski?

Well, if there was any doubt that the answer was likely to be a gigantic “No way,” White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs ended even it today.

Asked at the White House press briefing whether the president intended to pardon Polanski, Gibbs responded.
“I -- I -- I don't know of any pending pardon request."

Asked again by a reporter, about whether President Obama believes “pedophiles should not be prosecuted,” Gibbs responded: “The president believes pedophiles should be prosecuted.”
