Dermot Mulroney Joins CBS Drama Pilot ‘Bunker Hill’

Show will take place at high-tech hospital

Dermot Mulroney has been cast in the CBS drama pilot “Bunker Hill,” TheWrap has learned.

The drama follows a young Silicon Valley tech titan who enlists a veteran surgeon with a controversial past in starting a hospital with a cutting-edge, “new school” approach to medicine.

Mulroney will play Walter Wallace, a brilliant surgeon committed to saving lives who might care a little too much about his patients.

Most recently, Mulroney has played Sean Pierce on the Showtime series “Shameless.” He also appeared on the Golden Globe-winning Amazon series “Mozart in the Jungle.”

Augustus Prew will play James Bell, the billionaire tech genius determined to revolutionize healthcare. Brenda Song will play Angie, a programmer at Bunker Hill Hospital.

Michelle Lee will executive produce along with former “Parenthood” showrunner Jason Katims, who will pen the pilot. “Bunker Hill” comes from Universal Television in association with CBS Television Studios.
