Check your pulses — there’s a new “paramedic in charge” at Firehouse 51.

“Friday Night Lights” and “Dexter” actress Dora Madison Burge (pictured above, left) is set to guest star on the final three episodes of “Chicago Fire’s” Season 3, including the kickoff to NBC and Dick Wolf‘s latest mega-crossover.

Burge plays new “paramedic in charge” Jessica “Chili” Chilton, who essentially replaces the character Peter Mills (Charlie Barnett). Mills said goodbye to his colleagues last week in a dramatic departure from the squad, leaving the Windy City to be with his family in North Carolina.

“Chili” is described as “a vivacious young paramedic,” who is teamed with Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) and has an uphill battle winning over the Firehouse 51 family, still mourning Mills’ departure.

Tuesday’s episode, “We Call Her JellyBean” — Burge’s debut — is the first installment of the three-part “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago PD” and “Law & Order: SVU” crossover that airs April 28-29.

Burge is repped by Paradigm and Authentic Talent.

“Chicago Fire” airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on NBC.
