Dick Clark Productions has named ABC veteran Mark Bracco executive vice president of programming and development, a newly created position.
Bracco most recently served as vice president, alternative series and specials at ABC Entertainment, overseeing specials including the American Music Awards and “Dick Clarks’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest” — which are both produced by Dick Clark Productions — as well as series such as “Shark Tank,” “Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution” and “Supernanny.” He was also entertainment producer at ABC’s “Good Morning America,” where he was responsible for overseeing all entertainment-related segments and events on the morning program.
“Mark has a phenomenal breadth of experience working with a variety of alternative and special programming, as well as extensive experience with Dick Clark properties,” Dick Clark Productions president Mike Mahan said of the hire. “As Dick Clark Productions expands our television footprint, Mark will play a significant leadership role within the company.”
Bracco added, “It is an honor to work for such a historic company as Dick Clark Productions, under the leadership of Allen Shapiro and Mike Mahan who are responsible for some of the biggest television events in the world. My first love is live television and DCP is the preeminent producer of live events on television. This is a dream come true.”
