Just two weeks after its premiere, DirecTV has ordered 20 additional episodes of the mixed martial arts drama, a show representative told TheWrap.

“Kingdom,” which airs on DirecTV’s Audience Network, revolves around a family-owned mixed martial arts gym in Venice, California. Nick Jonas plays Frank Grillo‘s son, a talented fighter they hope will carry the family back to the spotlight, while Matt Lauria plays a recently paroled convict who begins training at the gym.

From creator, executive producer and showrunner Byron Balasco (“Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “The Purge: Anarchy,” “Warrior”), Kingdom also stars Kiele Sanchez, Jonathan Tucker and Joanna Going.

In the past four years, DirecTV has been trying to expand its original series offerings. It’s first original series, “Rogue,” was renewed for a third season of 20 more episodes back in August. Its drama series “Full Circle” from Neil LaBute was renewed for a second season of 10 episodes.
