In an “Under the Dome” recap, Letterman points out just how obsessed the cast of the hit CBS show are with talking about the dome
Did you know there was a dome in “Under the Dome”? Well there is, and it gets talked about a lot on the show.
On “Late Show,” David Letterman presented what he called a recap of the hit CBS summer series, but it quickly devolved into a supercut of the various characters simply saying “dome” over and over and over and over again.
Featuring virtually every actor and actress in the cast, including Dean Norris, Mike Vogel, Rachelle Lefevre, Alexander Koch, Jolene Purdy and Britt Robertson, the clip clocked more than 35 “domes” in less than 20 seconds.
It's as if that's all they have to talk about while they're all trapped under a giant invisible dome.
After hearing it through once, Letterman realized the musical potential of saying “dome-dome-dome-dee-dome,” so he had Paul Schaffer provide musical accompaniment to the rapid fire dome-talk.
