Donald Trump Cancels Katie Couric Interview

Interview with Yahoo’s Global News Anchor was set for Wednesday

Donald Trump canceled a planned interview with Yahoo’s Katie Couric on the heels of mass outrage against him for calls to temporarily ban Muslims from entering America.

The interview was set to happen on Wednesday at Trump Tower and was planned since the summer, according to the New York Times.

Couric has interviewed all the major candidates in the 2016 presidential race aside from Trump and Jeb Bush. Interesting to note: Couric attended the real estate mogul’s wedding to Melania Trump in 2005.

Trump has made media interviews and interaction a cornerstone of his campaign, and aside from a temporary boycott against Fox News, he hasn’t canceled interviews or made himself unavailable for the majority of interviews.

Donald Trump’s didn’t immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.
