Donald Trump Challenged by George Pataki to Debate Immigration ‘Mano a Mano’

“Aside from name-calling Mexicans and hurling insults at me and some of our other opponents, the American people have yet to hear anything resembling a real plan,” presidential contender says about Trump

Donald Trump has been getting shelled by Republican candidates over his controversial immigration comments, but George Pataki might be emerging as Trump’s most aggressive critic.

The former New York governor challenged Trump to go “mano a mano” in a debate over immigration Monday.

“Donald Trump has a lot to say about the problems with illegal immigrants, but aside from name-calling Mexicans and hurling insults at me and some of our other opponents, the American people have yet to hear anything resembling a real plan,” Pataki said. “Let’s get past the name-calling and have a real, substantive discussion.”

He challenged Trump to meet him in New Hampshire.

“Donald, let me tell you right now I am willing to debate you here in New Hampshire, mano a mano, anytime on the issue of immigration and pit your ideas against my solutions,” said Pataki.

Patois’ challenge comes days after Trump bashed him on social media.

“. was a terrible governor of NY, one of the worst — would’ve been swamped if he ran again!” Trump tweeted.

He added: “. couldn’t be elected dog catcher if he ran again–so he didn’t!”

It remains to be seen if Trump will accept Pataki’s challenge.
