Donald Trump isn’t worried about causing racial tension in America because “many, many blacks” support him.

Speaking with CNBC’s John Harwood on Thursday, Trump poured cold water on criticism that he’s stoking racism through many of his comments on the campaign trail.

“I don’t think so. My audiences are very — I have many, many blacks,” Trump said. “I had a poll come out the other day where I was at 25 percent approval rating from the blacks as a Republican.”

“You don’t think racial tension is the jet fuel of your campaign?” Harwood pushed back against the candidate who has been running for office on a promise to build across the Mexican border.

“I don’t want it to be, and I don’t think it is,” Trump said.

The GOP frontrunner also suggested he’d be the first superhero candidate.

“We don’t have Superman presidents,” Harwood said, to which his guest replied, “But we will if you have Trump.”

The real estate mogul continues to stand atop all national polls in the Republican presidential field.
